Capcom might have finally confirmed that Leon Kennedy is a playable character in Resident Evil Requiem after months of saying 'nuh uh' to all the leaks, but already, players are getting ready to say goodbye.

In one of the renders, fans like @cIoudgf spotted what looks to be necrotic skin on Leon's neck, matching the documents he views in the trailer. The theory goes that he's been infected again, but unlike the Las Plagas virus, he won't be so lucky to get cured this time.

I can already picture it, Leon muttering some cornball one-liner to Grace before a grand self-sacrifice, saving her life while avoiding the nasty fate of turning into a zombie (though, in true Resi fashion, he'd return later as a gargled mess of limbs we have to eviscerate with a rocket launcher). But it's worth mentioning that the image is fuzzy from compression, and the black veins could easily be a shadow.
