Just one night after setting the collective Internet on fire with the reveal of a new Star Wars title, one that is set in The Old Republic era and helmed by none other than RPG legend himself, Casey Hudson, the lead is helping put out a separate fire, one that's related to its supposed release window.
Taking to Twitter, Hudson made it very clear that Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, or FOTOR as all the cool kids are calling it, will release before 2030, a window that many were using in response to the game's sudden announcement.

His response seemingly is directed at veteran games' journalist Jason Schreier, who, in a separate post on Bluesky, noted how the studio's recent formation has him optimistically guessing that FOTOR could come in 2030.
As Schreier further noted in the replies to his post, Wonder Woman was also a game that had a massive spot at The Game Awards, only to eventually be canceled. Others also noted the many games that debut with high-budget cinematics only to never see the light of day.
