Now That Leon's Been Confirmed For Resident Evil Requiem, Its Director Is Mocking The Fake Leaks

Now that Leon Kennedy has officially been confirmed for Resident Evil Requiem, the game's director has taken a chance to mock one of the most prominent fake leaks.

It's been one of the gaming industry's worst-kept secrets that Resident Evil Requiem's second playable protagonist is none other than fan-favourite Leon Kennedy. Capcom has tried its absolute best to keep the secret, even outright saying that some of the information that was being spread around was fake.

Although some fans have pointed out that Capcom has basically been lying to us all for the last few months, in fairness, it was right that some of the leaks regarding Leon Kennedy were totally fake. Leon's long-awaited reveal at The Game Awards a few nights ago has given the developers a chance to finally poke fun at all the rumours.

As pointed out by Twitter user Genki_JPN, the official Resident Evil Twitter account shared a post following Leon's announcement at The Game Awards. The post itself features an image of Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi wearing an eyepatch and giving a thumbs-up next to the eyepatch-wearing version of Leon that everyone thought was a real leak....
