10 Switch games have received compatibility updates on Switch 2, addressing various issues some players have experienced on the latest Nintendo console. These compatibility fixes come as Switch 2 received a system update on December 8.

One of the perks of Nintendo’s latest hybrid system is backwards compatibility. This feature was a big deal for many fans, as the original Switch lacked support for Wii U discs due to the shift to cartridges. Thanks to this change on the Switch 2, players have access to numerous classic games from one of Nintendo’s best console generations. However, while backwards compatibility on Switch 2 opened the door for players to play many Switch games on newer hardware, the feature has had a few issues.

Nintendo console users have a new system update to download, as the Switch and Switch 2 receive some operating system changes.
