Tomb Raider Star Bids Farewell To Role, Welcomes Her Replacement

Tomb Raider voice actor Camilla Luddington is preparing to bid farewell to Lara Croft as another voice actor prepares to voice one of gaming's greatest action heroes in the series' next two entries. Two new Tomb Raider games were revealed during The Game Awards last week after leaking beforehand: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagining of the first Tomb Raider game, coming in 2026; and Catalyst, an all-new entry, in 2027.

The next two Tomb Raider games will feature a whole new Lara Croft, in voice as well as design: Gamespot notes that the remake and reboot's lead will be voiced by Alix Wilton Regan. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Camilla Luddington, who voiced Croft through previous reboot the Survivor Trilogy, expressed gratitude for the role and the fandom's response, while wishing well to her successor.

Camilla Luddington took over as Lara Croft in the 2013 series reboot, simply titled Tomb Raider. She was the fifth actress to voice Croft in the video games, succeeding the likes of Shelley Blond, Judith Gibbins, Jonell Elliott, and Keeley Hawes.
