If last week's big Divinity announcement got you excited to see what all the fuss is about, we've got some good news: Divinity: Original Sin 2 just got a surprise free upgrade on multiple platforms.
For those that might not know, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the last game Larian Studios worked on before Baldur's Gate 3. The two games share plenty of similarities, in that they're both massive RPGs with lots of tactical turn-based combat and difficult choices to make along the way.
Frankly, I always thought it was a miracle that Larian ever got Divinty: Original Sin 2 running on Nintendo Switch. While it certainly did the job, some concessions had to be made to get the game running on the older hardware. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is a particularly exciting prospect, then. But a free upgrade is also available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, assuming you own the last-gen version of the game for the console you're looking to upgrade on.
