Hot off the announcement of Hollow Knight: Silksong surpassing 7 million copies and a DLC reveal, Team Cherry has revealed that a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hollow Knight is currently in development. This version will support the Switch 2 and will include updates such as higher frame rates, improved resolutions, and additional visual upgrades.
Best of all, it will be free for players who already own the Nintendo Switch version. The Switch 2 version is currently slated for release in 2026. Other platforms are not being left behind either. Team Cherry confirmed that updates, new features, and bug fixes are coming across the board.
However, for those who own the game on PC, they can check out some of the updates, including 16:10 and 21:9 ultrawide support that has been added to the public beta, which players can access right now.
To access this public beta, head to Steam, right click on Hollow Knight and proceed to properties. Once there, head down to betas, and change “Beta Participation” to “public-beta Public -public beta”.
