We're only halfway through December, but that doesn't mean Xbox Game Pass members aren't looking ahead to the future. The popular service typically reveals a few games early, and that's the case once again. Thankfully, if you've been eager to see what Game Pass is offering in the new year, a couple of games for January 2026 have already been revealed.
As confirmed by PureXbox, there are currently two new games for Xbox Game Pass in January: Nova Roma and MIO: Memories In Orbit. Both games will be arriving toward the end of January, though, so additional announcements seem all but assured. While the two games couldn't be more different in terms of gameplay and art direction, they both look pretty interesting, and you can view their trailers below.
MIO: Memories In Orbit will be arriving on Xbox Game Pass first. The Metroidvania with a Hollow Knight aesthetic will release on January 20, 2026. Nova Roma, meanwhile, will debut just a couple of days later on January 22, 2026. This is a city-builder that takes place in Rome, as you "appease the gods, enact laws, and develop complex supply chains to meet the needs of your citizens."
Nova Roma...
