Arcadia-7 is a lovely planet, filled with sweeping vistas and dramatic scenery that provide a comfortable resting space for mineral riches. The air is clean and warm, abundant plant life grows from the fertile earth, and while the fauna is a bit on the spicy side that's not a particularly unreasonable expectation on a wild planet that's yet to see humans establish a settlement. All told Arcadia-7 is a fantastic place for castoff criminals to work off their cultural debt, living a life free of the pressures that drove their lives so wrong while supplying Earth and its colonies with much needed resources. With a little bit of care the planet could be just this side of paradise, other than the highly unstable star that scours its surface to ash on a daily basis.
