It won't have escaped your attention that there's an awful lot of hype currently focused on a little game called Half-Life 3. While we still don't know anything official about this heavily rumored project, what we do have now is two other new Half-Life games that are currently available on Steam for free.
Released earlier this week, Half-Life Arena and Half-Life Legacy are completely free to download, assuming you own a copy of Half-Life already. It's worth noting you can get the original Half-Life for less than $10 when it's not even on sale, so you might want to get on that.
Half-Life Arena is a community-made mod, which means it's been released with Valve's blessing, which is typically a good sign for Half-Life projects. While the original Half-Life is known for being a deep single-player experience, Half-Life Arena flips the formula and gives us classic death-match action inspired by the multiplayer mode from the PlayStation 2 version of the OG game.
