The next big The Legend Of Zelda game may still be a ways off, but small details are already trickling in regarding what exactly Nintendo is planning. Between zeitgeist releases like Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom and remakes like Link's Awakening, the Zelda series has had a huge run on the Switch family of systems. So, what's Nintendo planning next?

According to a new interview, translated by GamesRadar, Daiki Iwamoto, who is general manager for the Zelda series at Nintendo, says he wants Monolith Soft to take on a "central role" in the creation of a "unique title" in the franchise.
