There’s a reason why Toby Fox is heralded by so many video gamers and even fellow creators. He has been able to make incredible titles that don’t “break the machine” with its graphics or even gameplay, but knows how to weave a compelling narrative that “bucks trends,” and pushes certain thought processes with how you go through a story in a way that other games simply don’t. He started that with Undertale, and now, he’s continuing it with the various chapters of Deltarune. While it hasn’t had the steadiest of release schedules, the chapters are still releasing, with Chapter 5 up next.
As noted by Nintendo Everything, Toby Fox dropped an update on Deltarune via his newsletter, and he had this to say about the next few chapters:
He then stated it’ll likely be “several months” before the fifth chapter releases. He also teased that in a “few months,” the team will be deep into Chapter 6. So, who knows where we’ll be at this point in 2026?
In the meantime, you can get Chapters 1-4 on various systems, including PC and Nintendo Switch 2!
