A recent release date update shared by an industry analyst suggests the in-development follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 is a very long way away indeed.
Here's what we know at the moment: Cyberpunk 2 is one of five CD Projekt Red games currently in development. Teams working on Cyberpunk 2 around the globe are scaling up their staff. CDPR's studios in Boston, Warsaw, and Vancouver, specifically, are adding more development personnel as the project grows in its pre-production state. While The Witcher 4 is the current focus, work on Cyberpunk 2 is being done.
I'm going to assume that nobody reading this thought Cyberpunk 2077's sequel would be releasing any time soon. Heck, The Witcher 4 isn't expected until 2027 at the earliest, according to the most recent reports.
