We may have just gotten the best evidence yet that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 could be releasing soon. Although Square Enix has been relatively forthcoming with development updates, there's relatively little we know about the third part of the remake trilogy — not even its name.
Now, though, Square Enix has given us the most hopeful update on FF7 Remake Part 3's development we've ever gotten, with director Naoki Hamaguchi telling French YouTuber Julien Chièze that "the core game experience is almost complete, and we're now in the phrase of refining and polishing it." Although FF7 Remake Part 3 still doesn't have an official release date, this latest update is promising. It suggests the game has moved into its final stages of development, which is some of the clearest messaging we've gotten on its progress since Rebirth came out.
Still, that doesn't mean it's time to get your hopes up. There's a lot more to a game, especially a major triple-A release like FF7 Remake, than just the gameplay. There are also graphics, cutscene direction, and voice acting to worry about.
