The Pokémon Trading Card Game has already confirmed its first English set for 2026. Called Ascended Heroes, it will release in February and continue the TCG's current Mega Evolution line. However, a new set has been confirmed for January, and for those eagerly awaiting Ascended Heroes after digging into Phantasmal Flames, it's a pretty nice surprise.
Over on PokeBeach, a number of new cards were revealed alongside a release date of January 23, 2026. While the site is calling it Nihil Zero, the set's name is literally "Munikis Zero." The set has been known about since at least the end of October, but we now have a solid release date and a number of new cards revealed thanks to PokeBeach.
Mega Zygarde ex is the biggest reveal here. The card, which has 310 HP and a move that causes 200 damage and another that relies on a coin flip, doesn't have an official English translation yet. It's numbered 46/80.
Other confirmed cards for the new January 2026 set include a Meowth ex, Fighting-types Binacle and Barbaracle, and characters from Pokémon Legends Z-A like Team MZ's Naveen and Racine Construction's Tarragon. A number of new Trainer and Support cards were shown...
