Overwatch 2 has officially launched its mid-Season 20 update, which features buffs and nerfs to over a dozen heroes, Mythic Magma Doomfist, and several limited-time events, including the return of Assault. While some of these activities are still a little way off, most of this update, including the balance adjustments, are live in Overwatch 2 right now.
Season 20 came to Overwatch 2 on December 9, with new melee damage hero Vendetta as the star of the show. Additionally, Overwatch 2 kicked off its Winter Wonderland event, added Doomfist and Wuyang to Stadium, and introduced the Challenger Leaderboards feature for the Top 500 in Competitive Play.
There’s no denying Overwatch 2 had a tremendous 2025, but it’s starting off 2026 on the wrong foot thanks to an awkward decision.
