Red Dead Redemption Players Torn As "Arthur Morgan" Found In First Game

A new fan theory suggests a tiny detail in Red Dead Redemption is actually a depiction of Arthur Morgan, but players are understandably unconvinced. Since Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel released eight years after the original, Arthur does not appear in RDR1, nor is he ever explicitly mentioned, but that hasn't stopped dialog from being read as references to Arthur in hindsight.

Now it's being proposed that we can actually see Arthur in Red Dead Redemption, in a post from Reddit user Inexistent_Rose_1723. The user shared a screenshot of a close-up (via rifle scope) of a photo in John and Abigail's room at Beecher's Hope. Their girlfriend "swears it's young Arthur and John," but a number of other explanations are given in the comments. Despite the post saying the theory is "just for fun," it has sparked a significant discussion.

As pointed out by plenty of comments in the post, technically speaking, it's impossible for this photo to be depicting Arthur Morgan.
