Lords of the Fallen 2 publisher CI Games is fending off accusations that it plagiarized a character design from Elden Ring Nightreign after sharing an image from the upcoming soulslike action RPG online. While there are some obvious similarities between the two characters, the Lords of the Fallen 2 team members have the receipts to prove that they did not steal the artwork.
The 2023 release of Lords of the Fallen, which served as the successor to a game of the same name from 2014, received mixed to average reviews on PlayStation 5, but it was still impressive enough to turn a lot of heads in CI Games' direction. In August 2025, Lords of the Fallen 2 was revealed during the Gamescom Opening Night Live presentation, and it was given a release window of 2026, showing that fans of the reboot have a lot to look forward to in the near future.
