Valve's few forays into hardware have been largely successful. The Steam Deck is a hit, and as a result, a new VR headset is set to join a new generation of Steam Machines. Unfortunately, the Steam Machine's leaked asking price might just be too much.
Valve announced the Steam Machine officially last year, positioning it as a powerful PC that you can plug into your TV and run Steam from. It's expected to be six times more powerful than the Steam Deck, and boasts the following specs.
A Reddit user took to the gaming leaks and rumors subreddit earlier today to share a post from a Czech retailer, which appears to have leaked pricing for the Steam Machine. Please be aware nothing has been officially confirmed yet, so do take this with a pinch of salt.
The listing shows 19,826 CZK for the 512GB model, and 22,305 CZK for the 2TB model. That's $950 USD and $1070 USD respectively, which is considerably more than previous reports suggested the Steam Machine would cost. Again, I should point out this may be a placeholder price created by the retailer.
