Cyberpunk 2077 "Final Update" Leaves Gamers Divided

It's incredible to look at Cyberpunk 2077 in 2026. When the game originally launched back in 2020, who could have predicted that we'd actually be celebrating the fifth anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077, instead of just awkwardly squirming at the memory of a game that seemed dead on arrival?

Over years of updates and a genuinely excellent Netflix spinoff, plus a bunch of comics, Cyberpunk 2077 has established itself as very much here to stay. It's so beloved now, in fact, that fans are terrified of when to expect the game's final major update.

It's important to note that, at the time of writing, Cyberpunk 2077 has had its last major update. Released back in July, Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 added a ton of new vehicles, side jobs, customization options, and a slew of new features for the game's Photo Mode. Mind you, this was released after we were told not to expect any more major updates.
