The official reveal for the Extra and Premium PlayStation Plus free games for January 2026 is just around the corner, but we now exactly what to expect thanks to a reliable industry insider who has literally never been wrong. As it stands, we're going to be getting an extra 300 hours worth of gaming goodness. Who needs a social life?

The monthly Essential free games for January have already been revealed, of course, with Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper kicking off the new year.
