The Legend of Zelda is turning 40 this year, but Nintendo has been pretty silent on its plans to celebrate the milestone. And while there's been plenty of speculation and rumors appearing online, we now have at least one official release confirmed for 2026. Arriving in June, it's something Zelda fans will likely want to get their hands on.
Over on the official Nintendo site, you'll be able to find The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Limited Edition Deluxe X 8LP Boxset, which is a collaboration with Laced Records. The set is available for preorder and will release on June 19, 2026. It looks gorgeous, and will likely sound great, but it'll set you back a bit - it's listed as $194.99, which honestly isn't too bad for 8 vinyl records in a collector's set like this.
Nintendo hasn't officially stated this boxed set is to celebrate Zelda's 40th Anniversary, but considering the timing, fans can at least use it as an opportunity to do so. If you loved BOTW, then you should be particularly excited. The artwork on the slipcases looks amazing, and Breath of the Wild had some of the best music in the series....
