The next big upgrade to the PlayStation 5 Pro’s AI upscaling technology could officially be announced soon. Released in late 2024, the PS5 Probecame the most powerful console on the market. However, it struggled to gain traction with an original price of $699.99 despite featuring several enhancements to the base PS5 console's technical capabilities.

PlayStation later released a revised PS5 Pro model alongside a price increase that brought the console to $749.99. The original update focused on improving the console’s energy consumption and reducing its overall noise. Since then, PS5’s lead system architect, Mark Cerny, has confirmed that the model would receive additional enhancements in 2026. He stated that the upgrades would specifically focus on improving the PS5 Pro’s current upscaling technology and graphical prowess.
