A Brand-New Fall Guys Game Was Just Announced, But With an Asterisk Attached

Those who have been waiting for a bold new Fall Guys experience to reignite their love for the bean-focused title are in luck — sort of. While there is indeed a new Fall Guys mini-game called Crown Jam releasing on January 23, it’s exclusive to Fortnite, not Mediatonic’s game.

While this may seem strange to those out of the loop, it does make some sense. When Epic Games purchased Mediatonic back in 2021, gamers expected a fair bit of Fall Guys content in the former’s hugely successful battle royale game. And though said content took its time to arrive, it began being added with Chapter 5: Season 3. On August 6, 2024, “Where We Fallin?” was introduced, which was a fun nod to the oft-spoken phrase “Where we landing?” uttered at the start of battle royale matches. This content was an obstacle course that could be visited within the Fall Guys map, which players could enter to unlock a selection of loot for their current session (quality was based on course completion time) and permanent rewards like a pink plushie back bling.
