Ubisoft Updates 3 Far Cry Titles, Cancels Others

Ubisoft has a slew of news, both good and bad, that it has announced. Three legacy Ubisoft games are getting updates for modern consoles. These three legacy titles are all Far Cry titles, and some of the best ones. There are even going to be discounts on these games to help bring the legends into the 2026 tech world. There won't be any visual enhancements to these games, but the frame rate cap will be increased from 30 to 60 on these three titles. Ubisoft is approaching its 22nd anniversary in March as it brings a modern feel to these three Far Cry games.

We Wanted a Sequel, but This May Be a Start

Companies will sometimes dangle a fishing line to see if there is any interest in focusing on a legacy game series or an idea. Far Cry 3 is hailed by many to be the best in the series. Players will be able to revisit Rook Island with increased fluidity and responsiveness to better accentuate to game's fast-paced combat.
