We're just a week-and-a-half away from the release of World of Warcraft's newest expansion, Midnight. In preparation for the release, Blizzard has released a pre-expansion patch paving the way for some of these systems to be implemented.
One of these new systems is a change to how transmogrification works in the MMO. Previously, you would have to transmog equipment directly, grafting the appearance of one piece of armour onto another. You could transmog an entire outfit, but changing one piece of the outfit meant you had to pay the cost of transmogging the entire outfit once more.
Thankfully, this archaic system has now been eliminated. You now purchase slots, allowing one to easily switch between looks without having to constantly pay gold costs for changing individual pieces of the outfit. However, these slots cost gold, and the cost increases for every slot purchased, beginning at 100 gold and rising to 10,000 gold for the final slot.
Additionally, the cost of saving outfits depends on the amount of equipment placed in the slot. If you fill every available gear slot, then saving an outfit could cost over 2000 gold.
Eventually, removing the need to re-transmog several items...
