Donald Trump is Being Blamed for the Lack of a Resident Evil Requiem Collector's Edition

A gaming industry insider stated that the policies and tariffs issued by US President Donald Trump, and the associated costs, may be a reason behind Capcom's choice not to give Resident Evil Requiem a physical collector's edition. Despite Capcom not offering a collector's edition of Resident Evil Requiem, additional goods for the upcoming title will be sold independently of any game bundles.

During the January 15 Resident Evil Showcase, Capcom shared more details about the gameplay elements that players can experience in Resident Evil Requiem. The developers said that Resident Evil Requiem will utilize the survival horror aspects of Resident Evil Village for Grace Ashcroft's side of the story. Resident Evil Requiem will also offer players an optional difficulty setting that will bring back ink ribbons and limited saves during Grace's segments. By contrast, fan-favorite character Leon S. Kennedy will be featured in action-focused levels based on the gameplay style of Resident Evil 4 Remake, as he can pick up weapons to cut down hordes of zombies.
