Pokémon and Final Fantasy are two of the most influential video game series of all time, so it only makes sense that games would combine aspects from the two eventually. After all, a lot of their DNA is similar already since they're both RPGs. Now, a new game on Steam is doing just that, and the best news is that you can try it for free.
Now, I'll admit, the RPG market has felt crowded lately and there are also plenty of Pokémon imitations out there, but that doesn't mean these games aren't fun to play regardless. If you're interested, you can head over to Steam to check out EvoCreo, an RPG that released on January 7, 2026, and has a free demo to play. You can also view the trailer below.
In EvoCreo, you explore the world of Zenith alongside your creature companions, called Creo. There are over 170 of them in the game, and you'll come face to face with an evil organization on your way to becoming an Evoking Master. Yes, that sounds a LOT like Pokémon, but it's precisely why you'll probably want to check EvoCreo out anyway.
EvoCreo does plenty that Pokémon games don't, though....
