Several classic Assassin's Creed games could receive 60 FPS updates in the future, following the recent lead of the Far Cry series. This kind of update would go a long way to improving the experience of some of the older Assassin's Creed titles when played on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
In the past, Ubisoft has provided support for the Assassin's Creed games long after their initial release dates. Over the years, Ubisoft has added Steam achievements to various Assassin's Creed games, even though the games initially launched without Steam-specific features. And while it would have been better to have these features right at the start, it's still good that the company has occasionally revisited the titles, despite the fact that it would have been easier to leave them be at this point. Now, it seems as though even more upgrades are planned for the series' older games in the near future.
While there's a lot of excitement around Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, it's worth remembering that it's a version of the past, not the future.
