Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 could attempt to cover a million different ideas, but director Naoki Hamaguchi has finally made a key promise about one in particular. While most of the necessary elements for the third remake game stem from the original 1997 game, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's Queen's Blood card game also feels like an imperative inclusion.

Speaking to Polygon, Hamaguchi confirmed that the return of Queen's Blood in FF7 Remake Part 3 will be more than a basic rehash. He reaffirms that the card game "is still going to be available in the third installment" but refers to the new iteration as "a more powered-up version."

For those who haven't yet caught up with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Queen's Blood keeps the tradition of card games like Triple Triad and Tetra Master alive, and then some. The grid-based card game offers fast-paced duels against NPC opponents, which stack up to form a relatively major side quest spanning the vast majority of the game.
