Publisher Nacon and developer Spiders have announced the early access period for GreedFall 2: The Dying World will begin on PC on September 24, 2024. The announcement came alongside a new trailer that briefly showcases some more cinematic scenes from the game. GreedFall 2: The Dying World will offer an entirely new adventure set before the events of the original title.
GreedFall 2: The Dying World is the second installment in the GreedFall series, and the game is set three years before the first, acting as a prequel. GreedFall 2 returns to Teer Fradee and puts players in the role of a native who is forcibly taken to Gacane, the old continent, and who must fight for their freedom. The second game's setting mirrors the first GreedFall, in which protagonist De Sardet, a noble family member from Gacane, takes center stage.
As a prequel, GreedFall 2: The Dying World has a chance to do something its predecessor couldn't, likely broadening its demographic in the process.
