Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game is receiving a Secret Wars expansion, and it’ll be launching between two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most thrilling upcoming movies. Indeed, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day releasing in July and Avengers: Doomsday releasing in December, as well as a new Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game expansion, players have every reason in the world to be invested in Marvel’s tabletop RPG this summer.
As per Marvel, Avengers: Doomsday will follow this Marvel RPG’s newest expansion, and its timing couldn’t be better (or more convenient). Though we don’t quite have a reliable bead on the story in Avengers: Doomsday yet, the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game: Secret Wars expansion seems to be an attempt at pursuing MCU synergy, including God Emperor Doom’s rule.
To anyone who might not be familiar with it, the essential selling point of Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game is simple: Dungeons & Dragons, but Marvel. Secret Wars, then, will be Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game’s adaptation of the eponymous comic book storyline. This includes the multiversal patchwork planet Battleworld, as well as “an exploration of the Fantastic Four, the Negative Zone, the Guardians of the Galaxy and the vast Marvel cosmos.”
