Developer Treyarch Studios has confirmed that Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will officially be bringing back Safeguard, a game mode that first debuted over a decade ago and hasn't been seen since 2018's Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The second seasonal update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone is set to debut on Thursday, February 5, and while much of its content still remains a mystery, Multiplayer fans can now look forward to the return of Safeguard next week.

Acting as a direct sequel to the iconic Black Ops 2, Season 1 of Black Ops 7 kept with its theme and brought back some of the 2012 shooter's most beloved multiplayer maps, including Standoff, Meltdown, and Nuketown. This was just a tidbit of the massive amount of content Treyarch released during Season 1, as the developer stayed true to its word and truly brought its A-game for Black Ops 7's very first season.
