Red Dead Redemption has finally soared to the heights of Red Dead Redemption 2 through an unofficial fan remakeproject. Red Dead Redemption 2 sets an incredibly high bar for gorgeous visuals and graphics in an open-world game, and this Red Dead Redemption ‘remake’ is making big strides toward it.
As per Desse and the PNA team on Nexus Mods, Project New Austin 1907 is reimagining the original Red Dead Redemption. So, anyone who has longed to see Red Dead Redemption look as terrific as Red Dead Redemption 2 finally has something of a ‘remake’ on their hands.
Taking a look at Project New Austin 1907, it’s basically impossible to say with any certainty that the unofficial remake’s gameplay isn’t from Red Dead Redemption 2. The intended goal, surely, is to blur that gap, as Project New Austin 1907 “brings back those classic RDR1 locations with added detail to match RDR2’s level of quality.”
Red Dead Redemption arguably isn’t even a bad-looking game. That said, Project New Austin 1907 goes to show that there is a large corner of Rockstar’s vocal community that is desperate to see what gameplay and visuals could be like in a remake...
