Fable is back, with a series reboot and a new developer. During a recent livestream, Playground gave us our best look at the game yet, and was eager to get across that this is, first and foremost, a Fable game.
However, some features that were inseparable from Fable back in the day have been scrapped, including having a dog follow you around and having your character's appearance morph based on your decisions. The devs have a pretty good reason for the latter at least, and there are some of us classic fans who are glad to see this go. But there is another feature from the classics that we haven't seen yet, and some are getting concerned: the demon doors.
"I really miss this guy," says Reddit user gex109. "I hope they keep them in the new Fable."
True enough, it doesn't seem like demon doors have featured in any of the footage we've seen so far. Admittedly, we haven't gone in-depth with any of the quests so far, and demon door requirements can be a bit like small sidequests of their own, so perhaps Playground is holding off for now.
