Developer Crytek announced that its cooperative-competitive shooter Hunt: Showdown is receiving a major change to its pricing. This comes ahead of a series of previously announced major changes, which will be implemented when Hunt: Showdown relaunches in August 2024.
A new era for Hunt: Showdown is coming soon, thanks to Crytek's plan to convert the game's underlying technology. The next version of Hunt: Showdown will use the latest version of Cry Engine, version 5.11, which brings with it a series of major improvements to graphical quality, loading times, and other new features. The game will even receive bespoke support for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S as part of the relaunch. One wrinkle in the change, though, is that Hunt: Showdown will stop supporting the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, though Crytek reassured current players that their progress won't be lost and will carry over when they choose to upgrade at no additional cost.
Players can look forward to several highly anticipated improvements coming with Hunt: Showdown's engine upgrade.
Crytek also announced a new price point for the game in a post on the Hunt: Showdown official site. The new pricing will result in major discounts...
