Late last month, Square Enix introduced "Streamlined Progression" to the PlayStation 5 and PC versions of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, giving all players access to the extremely busted feature set, including the ability to always hit for 9,999 damage or have your HP and MP consistently topped up.
That, coupled with "Head Start Mode," another feature that gave players an instant boost, made FF7's Remake campaign rather trivial, and as a byproduct, its Platinum Trophy.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is yet another excellent port for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Shouldn't be a problem, right? The more people experiencing a game is a good thing, and Trophies are ultimately just virtual goodies with no real-world bearing. Well, there's a rather vocal community that has some disagreements.
Over on PSN Profiles, where registered users can chart their Trophy progress, 17,755 have achieved FF7 Remake's Platinum, including a number of users in recent days, including 50 between January 28 (Wednesday) and today (February 1 at 4:00 p.m.).
That seemingly brought up a debate within the website's forum about the legitimacy of a Platinum after "cheats."
