As we're fast approaching the launch of Crimson Desert, the internet is ablaze with rumors and expectations for the game. For every hopeful out there, there is a skeptic ready to crush their dreams. Will Crimson Desert be the next Tears of the Kingdom or Elden Ring? Or perhaps we're going to fall into the Mindseye or Concord bargain bin at launch.

One thing that's certain is that nobody can seem to agree on what the review scores are going to look like in March. Over on X, the conversation is heating up between two camps. Some believe this is a potential game of the year scenario, while others are convinced that all the promises make Crimson Desert seem just a little too good to be true.
