Dynasty Warriors: Origins - Visions of Four Heroes galvanises the rebirth of a fan favourite franchise that had started to show signs of fatigue. The expansion helps to further expand the story through additional character perspectives while supercharging the hack n' slash gameplay with new features. However, with the DLC costing almost as much as the core game on some platforms, it's a tough sell, only suitable for those die-hard DW heads who simply can't wait for a sequel.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a truly fantastic game, and Visions of Four Heroes offers a solid chunk more of that experience. However, at just under half the price of the base game, it's easy to feel like there should've been a bit more that's actually new.
This story DLC of four "what if" mini campaign arcs provide a decent reason to revisit Dynasty Warriors: Origins if you enjoyed its moment to moment gameplay, though its closed off nature does make the whole experience a bit hollow at its core.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins Visions of Four Heroes is a solid expansion to the great game that was Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Visions of Four Heroes is very much more of the same, but that is not a criticism when the foundation it builds upon is solid.
Visions of Four Heroes serves as an excellent addition to the game's "if" storyline, offering players a satisfying sense of wish fulfillment and allowing each hero to claim their own moment of glory. The introduction of the military strategy system expands the scale of combat beyond the main game, delivering exhilarating large-army clashes. That said, its gameplay extensions remain fairly conservative, as the actual combat experience differs little from the original and does not achieve any fundamental evolution.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins - Visions of Four Heroes is a good DLC for fans of the base game and the genre, bringing new scenarios, weapons, and companions that will please veterans. Its amount of content more than justifies its existence, even if the price is a bit steep.

While Visions of Four Heroes largely offers more of the same Dynasty Warriors: Origins action, it's not exactly a bad thing. The four new stories presented here have lots of exciting battles to play through, and there are some new features such as Strategic Battles and additional weapons to make things feel somewhat fresh.
