Arrowhead Game Studios has launched a brand-new update for the popular third-person shooter Helldivers 2, which comes with some new features, plenty of bug fixes, and a wide variety of general improvements for the title. Helldivers 2 was originally released on February 8, 2024, and is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The title has come under scrutiny in the past for persistent bugs and optimization issues, but Arrowhead Game Studios has largely experienced success with the military-style science fiction shooter.
It was recently revealed that Helldivers 2 kicked off the year with two major sales milestones. According to a recent report, the popular shooter sold over 1.6 million units on Xbox Series X/S within its first five months on the platform. It's worth noting that Helldivers 2 did not launch on Xbox hardware when it first made its debut, as it was initially a console exclusive for the PlayStation 5. The report also revealed that Helldivers 2 has sold over 20 million units in total across all of its platforms.
