A new update for The Sims 4 has caused major problems for players, as the February 3 patch prevented users from opening the game and even led to save data corruption for some users. Developer Maxis intended to release a new update for The Sims 4 this week that included some brand-new content for players to check out, as well as numerous bug fixes and improvements, but the studio mysteriously reversed the update after its release and caused a ton of headaches for players in the process.

Maxis and EA are currently gearing up to release the highly anticipated Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack for The Sims 4, which will launch for consoles and PC on February 12. The paid DLC will bring new core gameplay mechanics to the popular life sim title, including the ability to create or join powerful Dynasties with new family values, allowing your sim to climb through noble ranks and become a ruler. Players will also be able to check out the new Swordsmanship skill, secret passageways, plenty of new clothing items, and a new world called Ondarion, centered on royal courts and a rich history, with three distinct neighborhoods: Dambele, Verdemar, and Bellacorde.
