New Xenoblade Chronicles Project Leaked By Voice Actor

Voice actors have an unfortunate track record of letting unannounced projects slip, and Xenoblade Chronicles is the latest victim. The series' last outing was Xenoblade Chronicles X coming to Switch with a definitive edition, but the last new entry came in 2022 – Xenoblade Chronicles 3 – and Monolith Soft's beloved RPGs have yet to resurface explicitly for Nintendo's new hardware, the Switch 2.

That appears to be changing now that voice actor Caitlin Thorburn has updated their Spotlight profile to include a new Xenoblade Chronicles project dated 2026 (a screenshot of the profile can be seen on Famiboards, from user joveroy). Details are scarce; the project is simply labeled "Xenoblade Chronicles" with the following information:

Even this small amount of info is muddled. KOS-MOS is a character from Xenosaga, the Xenoblade predecessor series that released on the PlayStation 2. KOS-MOS does, however, play a small role in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well.

New lines being recorded for KOS-MOS does bring up the possibility of Xenosaga returning, potentially with a remaster. This seems very unlikely, however, given the fact that Xenosaga is owned by Bandai Namco (the series' publisher), and Nintendo is specifically listed in Thorburn's Spotlight profile.
