Activision pulls the curtain back on the Season 2 Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone, showing off new BlackCell skins, operator skins, and new store bundles. In fact, it seems that Black Ops 7 has largely rebounded from its underwhelming launch. While Battlefield 6 initially dominated the headlines by becoming the Best Selling Shooter of 2025, Black Ops 7 has been playing the long game, and it appears to be working. While Battlefield 6 has lost a lot of its early momentum, new industry data shows that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 became the most-played game on PlayStation and Xbox in the US during January 2026. Even with more platforms available to it, Activision appears to be attempting to capitalize on that momentum thanks to the imminent launch of Season 2.
