Fallout Gamers Impressed With Official New Release, Despite Controversial Price

Fallout 4 players are impressed with its new release on the Switch 2, but some say the price is way too high. Somehow still Fallout's most recent mainline game, Fallout 4 was recently subject to its third re-release since its 2015 launch. As of yesterday, February 24, it's available on the Switch 2.

Fans took to social media after Fallout 4 hit the Switch 2 yesterday to discuss its performance and the changes made to the new platform. One Reddit thread praised the addition of a 40 frames-per-second mode, calling it "probably the best way to play."

Many players chimed in with their takes on the Switch 2 version of Fallout 4, and many agreed: its 40 FPS mode balances high resolution with good-not-great performance for an all-around smooth experience. However, others said, developer Bethesda is asking too high a price for a game that came out over a decade ago.
