If you have been waiting on the cartoony first-person shooter that casts you as a gritty private eye, like I have, then you are going to have to wait a little longer. Fumi Games and PlaySide Studios have announced that MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has been delayed and will now launch on April 16, 2026.

The news was shared via the game’s official Twitter/X account, where the developers explained they need a few extra weeks to polish the experience.

According to the statement, the team is in the final stages of development and wants to take additional time and care to ensure the game lives up to expectations. The developers emphasized that the delay is about delivering the best possible version of the game rather than rushing it out the door.

The team closed their message by thanking fans for their continued support and promising to share more as launch approaches.

This is not the first time MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has been delayed, as it was set to be released in 2025, but then delayed to 2026. The title was previously pushed back from its earlier release window, meaning this latest move extends the wait even further.
