Stardew Valley is adding two new marriage candidates in the upcoming 1.7 update, and a new anniversary video has revealed which characters will be receiving the honors. Up until now, Stardew Valley has featured 12 romance options, each of whom can be married after filling up 10 hearts of friendship and meeting a few other requirements.
Clint and Sandy will become official marriage candidates in Stardew Valley 1.7, per the 10-year Anniversary Video available on the ConcernedApe YouTube channel. At the end of the video, Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe opens an envelope labeled "1.7 Marriage Candidates" to reveal the news.
Clint and Sandy are both iconic Stardew Valley characters, so it's not surprising to see them receive this particular honor. Clint is arguably the more divisive of the two, as Pelican Town's blacksmith has some decidedly negative traits, but he also has his fair share of fans. A romance path could also be the perfect way to let his character overcome his flaws.
