Leaving recent troubles aside for a moment, it's fair to say that Ubisoft has a ton of great franchises under their control, with a little something for everyone across a broad array of genres. Whether you're an Assassin's Creed fan or a ruthless Rainbow Six operator, they've got some great stuff going for them.
That's why it can be quite frustrating to see the lack of new releases over the last few years in those flagship franchises, leaving fans out in the cold for an extended period.
Happily, that isn't true of every series Ubisoft has under their control, and the developer is giving us all a chance to play one of those for free, if you move quickly.
Over on the official Ubisoft website, the developer published an article confirming that players will have the chance to jump into Anno 117: Pax Romana for free until March 2. Specifically, access to the game is available from February 26, 16:00 UTC to March 2, 12:00 UTC, following which you'll need to buy it if you enjoy what you've played so far.
