This Pokémon 30th Celebration Officially Goes Above And Beyond

It's a big year for Pokémon, with the franchise celebrating its 30th anniversary on February 27, 2026. The celebration has only begun, with Pokémon launching special merchandise, real-life events called "Day Out" and "Night Out", and much more. Starting in 1996, our Pokédex's have grown and evolved just as our love for these pocket monsters has, so a big celebration is certainly warranted.

There are many growing expectations of what fans can expect to see at Pokémon Day 2026 on February 27, particularly after the surprise release of Pokémon Red & Green, which didn't even wait for the event to happen. If Pokémon's art and marketing teams are any indication, the day should be full of goodies. Jigglypuff already sang with Lady Gaga during a Super Bowl ad, hotels in Japan have special Pokémon decorated rooms, and now not just one special 30th anniversary logo has been revealed, but over 1,000.

The Pokémon Company is certainly making sure there are no doubts as to how many years we are celebrating. Each of the new celebratory logos for Pokémon features a large number 30 with the "0" designed to look like a Poké Ball and one of the characters...
