Pokemon GO players will have a chance to encounter and catch Mewtwo as part of an upcoming limited event for Pokemon's 30th anniversary. Pokemon GO is set to end its Precious Paths season on March 2, making way for its much-anticipated Memories in Motion era. An exciting month is coming for Pokemon GO players, with a fan-favorite Legendary monster making a comeback after four years.
2026 is a big year for Pokemon GO. Aside from the game's 10th anniversary, the Pokemon franchise itself recently turned 30. To commemorate the milestone, Pokemon GO revealed its Anniversary All Out event for March 7 to 9. According to developer Scopely, "almost all" Pokemon that have been released in Pokemon GO will spawn in the wild. This will give fans a chance to complete their Pokedex by catching creatures that would otherwise be too hard to find. The event has exceptions, though, as Pokemon like Kecleon, Smeargle, or Scatterbug will remain locked behind special mechanics.
