Bungie has confirmed that it plans to address one of Marathon's biggest problems, which has been pushing away players from the game. First revealed in May 2025, Marathon is the studio's upcoming extraction shooter and its next major release. The game's Server Slam playtest began on February 26 and will run until March 2 across major platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X. Despite facing several controversies, the title has managed to attract over 140,000 concurrent players on Steam.
